Thursday, July 23rd - Read and Weed - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us at Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve to take dedicated time to read social justice oriented books and then discuss learned concepts with others while we weed native plant gardens.

We will have several hand-selected social justice books to choose from, including:

  • How To Be Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi

  • My Grandmother's Hands - Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Healing Our Hearts and Bodies by Resmaa Menakem

  • The Water Remembers: My Indigenous Family's Fight to Save a River and a Way of Life by local author Amy Bowers Cordalis

  • and more!

We have some camping chairs and hard back chairs. You are welcome to bring your own chair or bring a hammock!

BRING: Water bottle, bag lunch, sun protection, and an open mind! We will provide snacks.
