Peace and Land: Natural Journaling in a Healing Landscape

Natural Journaling is a fun and accessible way to connect with nature, calm the mind, and cultivate your sense of awe and wonder. We'll meander the meadow and follow the creek before landing in a comfy spot to reflect using a simple journaling framework. Naturalist and artist instructors will provide natural history background, journaling prompts, and drawing tips for participants. All levels welcome -- no artistic skill or experience necessary.  Youth 12+ are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian.

Please RSVP and let us know if you need support in obtaining a notebook. Extra writing/ drawing supplies will be available.

This event is free, but space is limited.

Easy to moderate walking on uneven surface, bending and sitting.

Optional: Bring your own camping chair if you want one; we will also have some available for participants to borrow

Bio: Tara Laidlaw serves as Southern Oregon Land Conservancy’s Community-Centered Conservation Director, where she specializes in using nature journaling to help learners of all ages establish a sense of place and a sense of wonder. She has worked in outdoor and place-based education for nearly 20 years.
