Become familiar with best practices in collecting seeds of native plants and bring something home to grow in your garden. Participants will explore for native flora at the beautiful Vesper Meadow Preserve site located adjacent to the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. We will share information about this upland meadow restoration and community education project. Participants will gain hands-on experience in plant identification and support place-based restoration for pollinator habitat and First Foods. A fun and informative introduction for restoration managers, ecology students, and pollinator garden enthusiasts.

Easy/ moderate: Easy walking over uneven terrain, bending over.

Bring water and snacks, long pants and close-toed shoes recommended.
