Making Pollinator Restaurants - calling all volunteers!

  • Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve 16534 Dead Indian Memorial Rd Ashland United States (map)

Join us for our fifth year of transforming the meadow from stands of invasive pasture grass to diverse native grasses and flowers, aka pollinator habitat (like restaurants for pollinators!). This is one of our favorite acts of restoration, and it is a truly beautiful time of year to be at the meadow.

All are welcome to join, no experience necessary. We are partnering with Rhianna Simes of Verdant Phoenix Farms and Cultivate Oregon, with the support of Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District. Jeanine of Vesper Meadow will lead a tour through the existing pollinator gardens and share thoughts for growing native plants species at home.

We will be preparing pollinator plots by removing landscape tarps, spreading and raking in seeds. Low to moderate impact, bending over, lifting 5-10 lbs and walking on uneven ground.

Bring your workgloves and we’ll provide drinks and snacks!

Space is limited for this free event. Please RSVP for week-of updates and more information:
