Community-powered restoration of Latgawa Creek (part 2)

Join Vesper Meadow and Project Beaver to ‘behave like beavers’ and implement our biggest single push for Latgawa Creek and Spencer Creek restoration yet. Five of much research, monitoring, and preparation - and we believe it will be a huge turning point for restoring the hydrologic system, wildlife habitat, and the native plant ecosystem.

Join in the teamwork and the collaboration

We need your help making human-created beaver-based structures in the creek with small woody debris, removing invasive plants, willow staking, and planting native shrubs. We’ll be working together, learning about Low-tech Process-Based Restoration strategies, and enjoying the early fall in the meadow. This work requires walking in the meadow on uneven surfaces, bending, carrying 5-25 pounds (moderate - heavy effort).

We’ll supply the snacks, drinks, tools, and good cheer. Bring work gloves, water bottle, and shovel if you have one.
