Easy-moderate activity
Support bumble bee habitat by collecting seeds of Cinquefoil, Mule’s ear, Elephant’s head, Buckwheat, Mints, and Lupine. Off-trail walking in the flat of the meadow and options for some to walk on gentle hill-slopes.
We will collect seeds that will be used to replace non-native grasses at the Meadow with native grasses and forbs. These restored areas serve both pollinators and our efforts in partnership with the Indigenous Gardens Network, a Tribally-led partnership. These areas also serve as demonstration plots for educational events with youth and adult land stewards.
For this event, we will be collecting a variety of grass and flower seeds. We wiill provide information on species identification, pollinators, restoration strategies, and perspectives on conservation land management.
Please RSVP/register for this event for meet-up location, details, what to bring, etc. This event welcomes all free of charge, and donations will be welcomed.
