Seed Blitz: Cinquefoil and Buckwheat

Volunteer opportunity. Join us as we hand-harvest native seed to be used in future restoration work.  This event will be taking place on the beautiful newly protected portion of Vesper Meadow (and 10 degrees cooler than the valley)

Explore this fascinating place with Vesper Meadow’s expert staff, learn how to ID and collect seed from native plants, and contribute to projects that will support the next generations of bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife. (And there’s a good chance we’ll be able to get a close-up view of some of the pollinators!)

PLEASE RSVP HERE

Directions to the site and other details will be emailed one week before the event.

Restrooms will not available at the site.

All experience levels and ages are welcome. Come prepared to walk in tall grass and up moderate hills. Bring plenty of water, sun protection, sturdy shoes and gaiters (if you have them) to protect your ankles from poky seeds.
