7:00 pm Sunset Storytelling with Thomas Doty, Cultural Storyteller and Vesper Meadow Artist-in-Partnership.

Preview a new modern tale about Vesper Meadow:

At Camas Woman's Home synopsis: Coyote wags his magic wand of a tail, calling several medicine women to Vesper Meadow in the Cascade Mountains. Digging Stick Woman, Gwisgwashan, Acorn Woman and Rock Old Woman meet Camas Woman in her home. Doty and Coyote and the meadow's modern caretaker listen to the women share their stories of this sacred camas gathering place ... from an Old Time myth to historic tidbits about settlers and ranchers and cows, and finally a modern tale that brings back the camas and the native people.

*Notes: This family friendly event will be minimizing waste, and though we will provide some cups, plates and utensils - everyone is encouraged to bring a camp-style set of dinner ware if available. Bring or wear layers as it can be cool in the evenings, and please leave pets at home. Carpooling is encouraged and we will organize a meet up location for those who RSVP:

See you at Vesper Meadow!
