Become familiar with best practices in collecting seeds of native plants and bring something home to grow in your garden. Participants will explore for native flora at the beautiful Vesper Meadow Preserve site located adjacent to the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. We will share information about this upland meadow restoration and community education project. Participants will gain hands-on experience in plant identification and discuss strategies for cleaning and storing seed. A fun and informative introduction for restoration manager, ecology students, and pollinator garden enthusiasts.
Wear sun protection, bring a hand lens and water and snacks, long pants and close-toed shoes recommended.
