Vanquish Fences, for wildlife
Volunteer fence removal collaboration with Southern Oregon Land Conservancy and Vesper Meadow Education Program
September 24th, 2025, Two different session times. Choose either or both:
Session 1: 9am - 1:30pm
Session 2: 1:30pm - 5pm
All are welcome to join at the scenic Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve for this community effort to restore habitat and make travel more safe for wildlife! A legacy of cattle grazing has left abandoned wire fences across the landscape and we need your help. It's a fun and easy way to find satisfaction in a day's work, we'll provide tools, gloves, and food for volunteers. Come get to know other volunteers and take part in a greater movement for land stewardship in southern Oregon.
Fence materials will be up-cycled to make a sculpture by Vesper Meadow Artist-in-Partnership Gabriel Barerra. Join us for a walk through the meadow and participate in the art process of this sculpture.
Activities include walking on flat, uneven surfaces, lifting 1-5lbs, bending, and use of hand tools.
Snacks and lunch will be provided. More information and directions will be sent to participants a week in advance.
Space is limited, please RSVP:
