Join in the community science monitoring at Vesper Meadow. In its inaugural year, participate in surveys for butterfly diversity, take inventory of blooms, and help establish the baseline information to guide wildlife habitat restoration efforts. This upland wet meadow, providing big sky views of Mt. Mclaughlin will be in prime Camas bloom in May, and Wyethia and Corn Lily bloom in June. Additional community science opportunities may also available, such as: seed collection, invasive weed pulls, and GPS recording.

Prior experience with plant and/or butterfly identification recommended but not required. Please be in touch with jeaninemoy@gmail.com for questions or inquiries.

Bring your own water and snacks, hand lens or binoculars, and flora or butterfly guidebooks/apps encouraged.
