Vesper Volunteers with REI: Native Plant Community Stewardship

Join the crew at the scenic Vesper Meadow Restoration Preserve, next to the Howard Prairie Reservoir. Your efforts are needed to support the vision of a community-powered creek and meadow restoration project. We'll be working on restoring the native plant community for pollinator and wildlife habitat, and for youth education programs. We'll work while we walk, collecting native plant seed and pulling invasive weed species. Program Director Jeanine Moy will provide tips on native plant and butterfly identification, invasive weed pulling techniques, and interesting anecdotes about the natural history of the Vesper Meadow site. Read more about the restoration and education programs at VesperMeadow.org

*Bonus* REI will support the event with some cool give-aways for volunteers
